ILUMINACIÓN NAVIDEÑA EN TIEMPOS DE PANDEMIA :
¿A FAVOR O EN CONTRA?
Cada año, alrededor de Noviembre (cada vez antes) los ayuntamientos y municipalidades de todas ciudades inician su plan de iluminación con el objetivo hacer durante unos meses “mágica” la ciudad y favorecer el sector del comercio. Este año con la situación del COVID19 se ha abierto un gran debate social sobre si es necesario o no invertir en ello, analicemos las ventajas y desventajas del alumbrado navideño.
Ventajas :
- Es un elemento emocional dentro del marketing sensorial, lo cual incentiva la ventas entre los consumidores. La Navidad es magia, compartir y felicidad entre nuestros familiares, por tanto encontrarte en un sitio “mágico” tu nivel de serotonina aumentará y comprarás más.
- La decoración navideña incentiva el turismo ( otro de los grandes sectores afectados por la pandemia). Muchas personas incrementan sus viajes para ver mercadillos y decoraciones navideñas en todo el mundo.
- Dan alegría en la calle, cual incentiva la vida social.
- Parte de la iluminación en distintas plazas incentiva el uso de espectáculos en la calle con los que los más pequeños disfrutan de un ambiente al aire libre.
- Gracias a la tecnología LED los gastos de iluminación han venido reduciéndose durante los últimos años.
- Es un elemento diferenciador dentro de la estrategia de una calle comercial, ya que puede adaptarse a un concepto distinto según el rubro y la imaginación de los comercios o gobiernos locales.
- Da trabajo a más 1.000.000 de personas al año, que se han visto afectadas por la pandemia este año.
Inconvenientes:
- Pese a que incentiva el comercio, la iluminación solamente se encuentran situadas en los centros históricos de las ciudades o de los centros comerciales, quedando fuera muchos comercios que no están en esas zonas privilegiadas. ¿No deberíamos de convertir zonas menos transitadas en nuevos puntos de tráfico de clientes?.
- Produce un incremento del gasto energético y promueve la contaminación lumínica.
- El gasto de adornar las ciudades es un bien que podría ser invertido en otras necesidades, como más sanitarios y más ayudas a todos los desfavorecidos que están aumentando como medida del COVID19.
